But this particular lunation brings something deeper: an invitation to reflect on the impact of our voice, our influence, and the role we play in our community.

New moons mark the beginning of a new lunar cycle. The sky goes dark. Energy turns inward. It's a time for envisioning what we want to grow in the coming weeks and taking gentle action toward it. Even bringing awareness to something you want to start is a great place to begin. What is something you want to start, an intention or seed you want to plant?
When we align with new moons intentionally, we tune into the natural ebb and flow of life, allowing ourselves to start fresh with more clarity and purpose.

Leo brings bold, warm, creative energy to the table. Ruled by the Sun, Leo is about self-expression, joy, courage, and visibility. Leo wants to shine and step into the spotlight. At its highest frequency, Leo reminds us that we each have a unique role in the collective story, and when we let our light shine, we give others permission to do the same.

🌀 The Human Design of this Moon: Gate 31 + Gate 7
During this lunation, both the Sun and Moon are transiting Gate 31, the Gate of Influence, which lives in the Throat Center. This gate speaks with a voice for the future. This is a humble type of leadership where others recognize you when you speak your truth from an authentic place. They choose to follow your example, direction or voice.
At the same time, Mercury is retrograde in Gate 7, located in the G Center which is our compass of love, direction, and identity. Gate 7 is the capacity to lead from the heart with humility and vision. While Gate 31 says, “I lead,” Gate 7 says, “I serve.”
Together, these two gates form Channel 7–31, which is called the Channel of the Alpha. This is all about authentic leadership that moves from identity (G Center) to expression (Throat). It’s the energy of the leader who is chosen because they align with the needs of the group.
With Mercury retrograde activating Gate 7, this isn’t a loud or flashy call to action. It’s reflective. It’s asking us to pause and ask:
Am I walking the path I’m truly meant to walk?
Where am I being asked to guide others or myself next?
Is my voice aligned with my heart?
✨ A Time to Begin (Even If It’s Scary)
The invitation here is to start even if it’s imperfect.
Start the project.
Say the thing.
Take up a little more space.
This is not about stepping into the spotlight because you want to be the “leader”. This Leo New Moon is about claiming your voice because there’s something inside you that wants to be shared. Whether you lead your household, your art practice, your co-workers, your friend group, or your online community—you matter. Your expression matters.
We are all leaders in some way. Ask yourself what area of your life needs you to step into more leadership?
