Welcome to Soul Meets Body
The Story + Soul Behind This Space
There’s a certain feeling I’ve always been drawn to… something soft, intuitive, and a little bit magical. It’s the feeling of coming home to myself after a long day… of being in my own space, cozy and warm, surrounded by things that nourish me. A good book or a comforting show playing in the background. Freshly baked cookies on the counter. Flowers on the table. An environment that feels beautiful, safe, and deeply me.
That’s the feeling I wanted Soul Meets Body to hold. A space that invites you to exhale, return to yourself, and remember your own rhythm.
Why the Name?
The name is inspired by the Death Cab for Cutie song I’ve loved since I was in high school. A track that always soothed me with its dreamy melancholy and its hopefulness. The opening verse has followed me for years:
“I want to live where soul meets body
And let the sun wrap its arms around me
And bathe my skin in water cool and cleansing
And feel, feel what it's like to be new”
It captures something I think so many of us long for: a return to wholeness.
A life where our soul’s wisdom and our body’s needs aren’t separate but rather working together in harmony.
That’s what Human Design helped me find.
This work is where logic meets mystery. Energy meets form. Soul meets body.
🌙 The Aesthetic: An old Soul with 90’s Roots
The energy of this space is steeped in the stories and textures I grew up loving:
🕯️ Charmed, with its sisterhood and spellwork
🏡 Gilmore Girls, for its cozy small-town magic
✨ Practical Magic, for its feminine mysticism and overgrown apothecary charm
🌿 Ever After, for its romantic, historic textures and soft empowerment
The wax seal in my branding is inspired directly by Ever After. I’ve always loved the vintage richness of that era: handwritten letters, earthy elegance, and the way beauty and meaning were woven into every detail. When I lived in France, I even visited the castle where the movie was filmed. That memory lives in this space too. I also created wax seals for a time and sold them on Etsy for wedding invitations and letters. They add such a vintage feel to everything.
One of the earliest symbols I ever felt deeply drawn to was the Triquetra which is the three-part knot now in my logo. I first found it on a ring in a little shop while I was living in Ventura, California, and I loved it instantly, long before I knew what it meant. Later, I learned it had many interpretations and the two that resonate most with me are Mother, Maiden, Crone and Mind, Body, Spirit. It also, of course, has roots in the t.v. series Charmed, which etched it even deeper into my subconscious embodying a symbol of feminine power, protection, and cycles.
As a Libra rising with Venus in the 5th house, beauty, texture, and visual harmony are how I process and express. I’m endlessly inspired by the textiles, fabrics, and layered colors in the inspired movies/shows listed above including cozy knits, worn velvets, flickering candlelight, and apothecary shelves lined with mystery. I crave spaces that feel like that.
Paired with my Human Design channels 57–20 and 57–10, I have a deep sensitivity to energetic alignment. I need things to feel right before I can trust or act on them. This space, and everything I create within it, is built from that inner knowing: intuitive, soulful, and designed to hold resonance.
These stories, symbols, and aesthetics shaped me. And with my 1–8 channel, this is how I contribute: through creative expression, curated energy, and spaces that invite you to remember your own magic.
